2024-25 State Service Project

During the 2024-2025 School year MASC and MAHS member schools are invited to participate in the State Service Project in partnership with the United Way. We encourage local schools to reach out to their United Way Organizations and discuss what the greatest needs for your local community are, and a variety of ways that our student leaders can help make an impact in their communities.

The 2024-2025 MASC/MAHS Executive Board is working toward a state goal of $10,000 raised, 10,000 pounds of items donated (food, socks, coats, etc.) and 10,0000 hours in the 2024-2025 school year.

If you have completed any of these projects, please update your totals/times using the following google form for each event that you do. We would like to see how close we can get to our goal by the end of the year.

Wellness Week Activities

Greetings Student Activity Advisor!

My name is Trisha Bemboom and I am the new Coordinator of Student Activities for the Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). As a former teacher, I understand the mix of excitement and anxiety as you return to your school for the start of the 2023-2024 school year. I am excited to help support you in one of the most important roles that you play in your school. Your role as an advisor is among the most rewarding and most difficult out there. However, along the way, I am  committed to providing you and your students with resources, programming and support to make this a year of excellence.

One of the first ways that we can support you as you begin your school year is to register your school as a member of the Minnesota Association of Honor Societies (MAHS) and Minnesota Association of Student Councils (MASC). The networking and resources that are available will allow you to serve your school and students in a dynamic way.

As a member of the organization, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship Meetups
  • The Resource Library filled with best practice ideas, articles and activities
  • Conferences, workshops and scholarship opportunities
  • Support and networking with advisors from across the state and nation
  • Products for your Honor Society including cards, pins, certificates and cords

The Minnesota Association of Secondary School Principals, our parent organization, has 96% of the middle and high school principals as members. If cost is a factor, talk to your principal about finding a funding source. Schools that are members consistently rejoin every year because they find value for their students and themselves.

I am excited to meet you and support you as you begin your 2023-2024 school year. Let me know if I can help in any way.
